Job Description

Primary Children’s Hospital Center for Safe and Healthy Families provides medical and mental health services to suspected victims of child abuse and neglect and their families. Our mission is to address child maltreatment through medical assessment, mental health treatment, education and research while keeping with the Primary Children’s Hospital motto, “The Child First and Always.”

The Clinical Psychologist is a vital member of a multi-disciplinary team composed of psychiatrists, psychologists, nursing, and other disciplines to provide holistic or comprehensive medical and counseling services to patients. They interview patients and give diagnostic tests. Additionally, the Clinical Psychologist provides individual, family or group psychotherapy, and collaborates with the behavioral health team to develop and implement behavior modification programs, with treatment and intervention programs that patients can understand and comply with.

Minimum Requirements

Doctorate degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D) in Psychology. Education must be obtained from an accredited institution. Degree will be verified.

Current Utah license as a psychologist or ability to obtain Utah psychologist license without delay.
